Information released on March 21, 2020:
The Maryland Department of Health (MDH) tonight announced the state’s third death as a result of COVID-19: a Montgomery County resident in her 40s who suffered from underlying medical conditions. Our thoughts are with her family and loved ones.
The first two deaths in Maryland were:
- Governor Larry Hogan tonight announced the first COVID-19 death in Maryland, a Prince George’s County resident in his 60s who suffered from an underlying medical condition (March 18th)
- Governor Larry Hogan has issued the following statement regarding Maryland’s second COVID-19 death, a Baltimore County resident in his 60s who suffered from underlying medical conditions (March 20th)
The key between all three deaths in Maryland have been “underlying medical conditions” of all three victims of this outbreak.
