The following information was shared with Scott E’s Blog and it is worth sharing with our community:
If you are able to, please make a donation to the Howard County Food Bank.
Food on the 15th (foodonthe15th.org) is working with the Howard County Food Bank (https://www.cac-hc.org/programs-services/food-assistance/) to raise funds so that the Food Bank can purchase food in bulk to feed those in need during this unprecedented time. To ensure the health and safety of our community, the Food Bank is asking for online donations rather than physical donations. The need is great as there are many people in our community who, even under normal circumstances, don’t have enough to eat. We are working together to ensure that those in need have access to food. Donations can be made at https://www.cac-hc.org/get-involved/donate-2/
Please share this post widely with your family, friends, neighbors, faith-based groups, co-workers, civic groups, etc.!!
I think it is a great idea to look for online donations at this time instead of physical donations.
On the donation page it notes: We are already seeing an increased demand for our services, particularly at the Howard County Food Bank. We will be delivering a one-week supply to more than 320 Head Start families. This would not be possible without the generosity of our community. To ensure the health and safety of our clients and staff, we ask that those interested in supporting our programs click on the orange donate button, rather than bringing food or funds directly to our office or to the Howard County Food Bank.
This is a hard time for many people in Howard County but if you can support this organization with donations it would be a great help to many in our community.
