Tracking the number of cases over time in Maryland and Howard County:

Two odd things on the report today…

  1. Howard County is reporting 20 cases where the state is only reporting 19. So is the real number 191 today? Not 100% sure.
  2. Carroll County number yesterday was 4 cases…today it is 3 cases. Again…just odd that they went down by 1 case. I have not seen any indication as to why…but something for me to research when I have time.

Here is the site to keep an eye on in Howard County for updates:

Here is a site to watch for information on Maryland cases:

The Washington Post has some interesting (albeit not totally up to date) tracking information for the DMV area (

This is a good site to keep up to date with the latest coronavirus announcements worldwide:  (Worldometer) or (Johns Hopkins)

  1. The state only reports once a day at 10a. The counties may update at different times or more frequently. Whatever number MD provides is most likely the number as of the 10a report.

    • I understand what you are saying…the problem in this report is the the HoCo number (20) came out at 3:00pm yesterday and the number from the state (19) came out at 10:00am today.
