Yesterday afternoon multiple sources report that Talbot County announced the county has its first confirmed case of Coronavirus (COVID-19):
- Coronavirus Latest: Talbot County Confirms First Case Of COVID-19, Declares Local State Of Emergency
- County Council President Corey Pack has announced that Talbot County will declare a local State of Emergency on Monday following the confirmation by Health Officer Dr. Fredia Wadley that the county has its first confirmed case of COVID-19 disease.
- First Talbot COVID-19 case announced
This case in Talbot County and the case reported in Howard County would bring the total known count in Maryland up to at least 33 this morning. The map above shows the confirmed cases locations throughout Maryland as we know them at the moment.
According to Mike Ricci (Communications Director for Maryland Governor Larry Hogan) the Maryland Department of Health will update the numbers at 10:00am daily.
I expect the numbers reported today to be higher than 33…that is my guess.
I expect to be away from the blog for most of the morning so I will try and get caught up on news and announcements later this afternoon.
