One big upset in week 3 will shake up the power rankings this week.

Here is a recap of the scores, standings and Scott E’s Blog Power Rankings after 3 weeks:

Scores and Highlights:

Hou Roughnecks 34 – TB Vipers 27 (stats)

Houston is now the only undefeated team in the XFL. Tampa Bay’s offense finally found the end zone scoring three TDs but it was not enough to overcome that Houston offense. PJ Walker (Hou) had 3 passing TDs…all of them to Cam Phillips (WR).

Dal Renegades 24 – Sea Dragons 12 (stats)

Seattle had a lead a half time and let it slip was to Dallas losing 24 to 12 in the end. Donald Parham (TE for Dallas) had 101 yards receiving and 2 TDs in this game.

STL Balltehawks 29 – NY Guardians 9 (stats)

St Louis had another impressive week and improve to 2 and 1 on the season after beating down the New York Guardians in week 3. Matt Jones (RB for STL) ran for 95 yards and a TD in week 3.

LA Wildcats 39 – DC Defenders 9 (stats)

Cardale Jones (QB for DC) throws 4 INTs and the Defenders forgot to bring their defense to Los Angeles and get crushed by the Wildcats. This was the unexpected upset of the weekend in the XFL. Josh Johnson (QB for LA) threw for 278 and 3 TDs to get LA their first win of the season.

XFL Standings:

XFL Power Rankings after week 3 (via Scott E’s Blog):

I am updating the rankings after my week 2 evaluation. Here is where I have things after week 2:

1: Houston Roughnecks (+1)

Houston is now the only unbeaten team in the XFL and easily is the #1 team in my power rankings this week. This offense is impressive.

2: St. Louis Battlehawks (+1)

St. Louis was my sleep team early in the season and they continue to look good in the 2020 XFL season. They are now in 1st place in the XFL East.

3: DC Defenders (-2)

DC forgot to bring their offense and defense when they travelled to LA this week and take a BIG step backwards in the power rankings. This may just be a one week glitch for the team…but something for me to watch going forward.

4: Dallas Renegades (no change)

Dallas got another win this week but Landry Jones throws two more INTs this week and there is still some concern about this team in my eyes.

5: Seattle Dragons (no change)

Seattle fell to Dallas at home and is now at the bottom of the standings in the XFL West. I still see potential but they have to step it up next week or a sharp fall in the power rankings could be coming for this team next week.

6: Los Angeles Wildcats (+1)

Los Angeles finally gets win number 1 on the season and it was an impressive one. If this team can continue to play the way they did at home this past week I see a chance for this team to shoot up in the power rankings in the future.

7: Tampa Bay Vipers (+1)

Tampa Bay finally found a way to get the offense in the end zone in week 3…now they just have to find a way to get a victory this season.

8: New York Guardians (-2)

New York has looked bad…no, REALLY BAD over the past two weeks. Third down for this team is a killer…as they are now 4 of 31 on 3rd down. this season. This team may need to really shake up their offense (players, game plan…all of it). Yes they have one win but the look like the worst team in the XFL right now.

Here is the schedule for next week:

Stay tuned…Later in the week I will have a post for the various XFL league leaders in passing, rushing and receiving.
