This is not Howard County “news” or local information related at all.
Sometimes we just need some positivity in our world. Hang out on social media for a few minutes and you know what I am talking about with that statement. I felt the need for a positive or uplifting post on the blog.
This is a video is from 2017. It does not matter if you like country music…it does not matter if you like Kenny Chesney…to me it is all about the message in the song “Rich and Miserable”.
In the two-minute opening, actor John C. McGinley plays a college professor who tells his students to forget about everything they might face outside of class, and lose the belief that life may owe them something. Instead, he only wants them to think about one thing.
“What will you be willing to give to change the word miserable to joyful,” McKinley asks. “What will you be so rich with that you will be willing to share it with the entire world? I want you to distill all that down to one word, come up here write it on the board and then walk out the door and then I want you to give it to the world.”
One by one, students walk up to the chalkboard and each writes one word representing the legacy they ultimately hope to leave behind.
So I challenge you…the readers of this blog… I want you to distill all that (What will you be so rich with that you will be willing to share it with the entire world) down to one word and let me know that word is in the comments.
Obviously as the local news and information blogger this is my answer (Knowledge):
Remember…after you comment…”then I want you to give it to the world. Well that would be good”.
Ok…I will be back to my normal local news and information tomorrow morning…but thought this was a good way to end the evening tonight.
