The DC Defenders (2-0) continue to roll early in the 2020 XFL season winning their second consecutive home game beating the New York Guardians (1-1) 27 to 0 today.

The Defenders racked up 384 yards of offense while only allowing 137 yards to the Guardians.

The Defenders defense scored their 2nd touchdown of the season as they took back another interception for a TD:

Let us not not forget the offense…which had a another sweet trick play in week two…a “double forward pass”:

Cardale Jones (QB) was impressive again with the following stat line: 23 of 37 (62%) for  276 yards, 2 TDs and 1 INT and a QB rating of 91.7.

Newly acquired Anthony Johnson had an immediate impact with 3 tackles and 1.5 sacks in the game today.

Scott E’s Blog had DC as the #1 XFL team in the Power Rankings after week 1…you have to believe that there is more than a good change that DC will remain in that position after week 2.

DC will travel to Los Angeles in week three playing on Sunday February 23rd at 6:00pm.
