ARTICLE UPDATE: Email received today –
I will still be attending the event on February 1st.
###
I will have the great honor to serve as a judge at the Maryland Future Business Leaders of America Region 5 Conference on January 18th at the Applications and Research Lab in Ellicott City.
Over 400 high school students from across the county will be competing at the event on Saturday.
I noticed that HCPSS had tweeted out a need for judges and thought this would be a great opportunity to utilize my experience and help out with this event:
Categories students will compete in at the event on Saturday include:
- Broadcast Journalism and Electronic Career Portfolio
- Business Ethics
- Coding & Programming and Computer Game Design Simulation
- Website Design
- E-Business
- Emerging Business Issues
- Graphic Design
- Impromptu Speaking and Intro to Public Speaking
- Social Media Campaign
- Public Speaking and Sales Presentation
- Publication Design
- Public Service Announcement
- Job Interview, Mobile App Development and Client service
- Business Presentation
I will be a judge in the Website Design category. I look forward to seeing what the students demonstrate at the event. I think this will be a lot of fun.
