In my last basketball standings article I said I may publish the standings weekly…so I have chosen Sunday mornings as my day to put out the weekly post.

Here are where things stand as of this morning on December 15th:

Top Teams Scoring: Reservoir (78 PPG), Centennial (65 PPG), Atholton (63 PPG)

Top Teams Defense: Glenelg (41.5 PPG), Wilde Lake (45 PPG), Marriotts Ridge (51.3 PPG)

Top Teams Scoring: Howard (65 PPG), Reservoir (62.3 PPG), River Hill (55.8 PPG)

Top Teams Defense: Howard  (27.3 PPG), River Hill (30 PPG), Marriotts Ridge (33 PPG)

If you want to track it on you own….this is the site I am using:  https://varsitysportsnetwork.com/vsn-basketball/howco-basketball-standings/

The widget in the sidebar of this (and every sports) article is useful for game by game results and to see upcoming games.

If you know of any students interested in being journalist in the future that want to cover their high school sporting events (like basketball)…I am looking for student writers for the blog.

Thought this would be an interesting way to provide a writing outlet for students and provide information to our community on local sporting events for our schools.

Have them reach out to scott@scotteblog.com

Also…if you have photos from local games that you would like to see as the featured photo on the weekly standings article I write…send them along. I am always happy to provide photo credit in the articles.
