My morning at PIVOT Work Spaces on Main Street in Ellicott City

Back in June of 2019 I won a free membership to PIVOT Work Spaces after retweeting one of their tweets:

I asked them if I could utilize the membership once their new spaces in Ellicott City opens…they said that was fine.

The official Grand Opening for the Ellicott City location is October 11th but they asked if I would like an early look and use of the space…so heck yeah I took advantage of that opportunity.

I worked from the Ellicott City location yesterday morning. They are still getting some things ready for the October 11th Grand Opening…but the shared spaces were ready to be utilized:

Here is some information about PIVOT and the Ellicott City location from their website:

Located directly atop the historic Ellicott business district, PIVOT Ellicott City allows you to work on main street without a long lease or commitment

Originally housing the Ellicott City Volunteer Fire Dept until 1997 when it was converted to commercial use, our PIVOT Ellicott City location features tons of natural light, shared work space, private offices & more!

– Private Offices
– 24 HR Access
– Free Coffee & Tea
– Conference Room
– General Workspace
– Dedicated Desks
– Dedicated Parking

The space was nice…and most importantly for me…the internet speeds were outstanding. I was performing website updates (for clients of my business: ScottE Software) yesterday and fast internet is a must for me.

If you decide this is the perfect location for you to work from…make sure to mention that you heard about PIVOT Work Spaces from “Scott Ewart” or “Scott E’s Blog” or “ScottE Software”…you could receive a free 1 week membership (they gave me that heads up on that yesterday).

I have a few more photos on Facebook here:

I will continue to work from the location in EC from time to time over the next month. If interested in catching up one morning or mid-day (I expect that when I am at that location I will be there in the mornings)…feel free to reach out at or and we can setup a day and time to meet up.
