I got the following via email yesterday:

FOR SEPTEMBER 14, 2019 AT 11:30 A.M.

Opposition to HoCo Superintendent’s Proposed Area Adjustment Plan Available
for Interview at Mall Walk

Howard County Families for Education Improvement (HoCo FEI) urges Howard County’s Board of Education to vote “NO” to the Adjustment Plan on November 21st, and take the time to develop an inclusive, evidence-based plan that benefits Howard County’s young people. The process is as important as the outcome.

Based on credible, independent research, HoCo FEI believes Superintendent Michael Martirano’s Proposed Area Adjustment Plan, while well-intentioned, is ill-informed, may not improve the achievement gap in Howard County Public Schools, and may actually harm the very children the County aims to help.

Dr. Hemant Sharma, a world-renowned pediatrician and HoCo FEI representative, will be available for interview at the independently hosted protest walk taking place tomorrow on the public sidewalks on Little Patuxent Parkway between Whole Foods and Union Jack’s Columbia. While the walk itself begins at noon, Dr. Sharma will be available for interview starting at 11:30 a.m.

When: Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 11:30 a.m.

Where: Whole Foods Market parking lot (portion of the parking lot closest to Little Patuxent Parkway) at 10275 Little Patuxent Pkwy, Columbia, MD 21044

I now know where I will be at 11:30am this morning…at this location for photos and maybe an interview or two. I think the event today may be big and looking forward to talking to people about it.
