From Howard County Fire Department: At approximately 8:00 a.m., gas Explosion in the business area of 8800 block of Stanford Blvd., Columbia. PIO en route. PIO will update via social media.

There was still a fire burning on the backside of the building and a STONG odor of gas in the air.
