Announced via Howard County Police Department Facebook page:

You saw the video of the package thief in Elkridge posted earlier today in which he grabbed items and ran back into his car. This person, with candy in hand, hides a package he found on a porch before ringing the doorbell at a residence in the 9800 block of June Flowers Way in Laurel on Monday evening. The package is then gone when the residents checked. Anyone with information on this suspect is asked to contact police at 410-313-STOP or HCPDCrimeTips@howardcountymd.gov.

As these two days of busy online shopping wrap up and your packages arrive, check out our post from earlier today with tips on keeping your deliviries safe: http://bit.ly/2Sm5ztt

Here is the Facebook post with video:

I will repost this information from earlier today: Even if you don’t have a doorbell cam, you can still join a free app called “Neighbors” to see videos like this one posted by camera owners in your neighborhood. HCPD is on there too! Download the FREE doorbell video-sharing app by texting “HCPD” to 555888.

I decided that today was the day for me to invest in a wireless cam system for the house. Prime Day ends today and so there are some good deals to be had…so I took advantage. If this has also been on your mind…visit Amazon.com and check out the deals before the day is over.

Hopefully my new system is not stolen off my porch before I receive it…that would be horrible…LOL.
