Yep…some national politics from Scott E’s Blog. The first 2020 presidential Democratic debate will take place on June 26 and June 27 in Miami.
The two-night event is hosted by NBC News, MSNBC and Telemundo, and will air live across all three from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m ET both nights.
Here is the lineups for each debate:
The first group appearing on Wednesday, June 26 is: (and where they are polling right now – top 10)
- Booker – 7th
- Warren – 3rd
- O’Rourke – 6th
- Klobuchar – 8th
- Castro – 9th
- de Blasio
The second group appearing on Thursday, June 27 is: (and where they are polling right now – top 10)
- Sanders – 2nd
- Harris – 5th
- Biden – 1st
- Buttigieg – 4th
- Yang – 10th
The groupings were decided by a random draw on Friday, June 14th.
Who got left out of these debates? Here is the list:
- Montana Gov. Steve Bullock
- Rep. Seth Moulton of Massachusetts
- Mayor Wayne Messam of Miramar, Florida
- Former U.S. Sen. Mike Gravel of Alaska
There are a number of debate parties happening around the county. I may have some additional details on those events before the debates happen later in the month.
