Howard County Council passes bill repealing the mobile home site rental tax

I wrote back in February (Howard County Executive Calvin Ball Files Legislation to Repeal Mobile Home Tax) and last night the Howard County Council voted 4 to 1 to pass this legislation.

The one vote against the bill…David Yungmann (District 5). Here is a video of the votes and comments:

I supported this passing this bill but I also understand the remarks made by Council Member Yungmann. While this reduces revenue to the county a little…the overall good it does outweighs that loss in revenue in my opinion.

There was social media mention of the bill:

More information on other bills when I have some free time. Stay tuned.
