NFL Free Agency Moves – Ravens, Redskins and Titans – As of March 16, 2019

I waited a couple of days since my last update to the free agency moves my readers might be interested in…here is an update to the moves made by the Ravens, Redskins and Titans as of March 16th at 9:00am:

Baltimore Ravens: (see full list) – bold items are new from last post

Re-signed or Added: Earl Thomas (from SEA), Mark Ingram (from NO), Justin Bethel (from ATL).

Lost: C.J. Mosley (NYJ), Za’Darius Smith (GB), John Brown (BUF), Eric Weddle (LAR), Terrell Suggs (ARI).

Notable Unsigned Players: Michael Crabtree, Robert Griffin III, Ty Montgomery

Comments: The Ravens continue to improve their defensive backfield and special teams by signing Justin Bethel. Bethel made the Pro Bowl three consecutive seasons (2013-15) for his outstanding special teams play while in Arizona.

Washington Redskins: (see full list) – bold items are new from last post

Re-signed or Added: Landon Collins (from NYG), Adrian Peterson (re-signed)

Lost: Preston Smith (GB), Jamison Crowder (NYJ), Ty Nsekhe (BUF), HaHa Clinton-Dix (CHI), Maurice Harris (NE)

Notable Unsigned Players: Josh Johnson, Michael Floyd

Comments: Clinton-Dix was taken off the “Notable Unsigned Players” list after he signed with the Bears.

Tennessee Titans: (see full list) – bold items are new from last post

Re-signed or Added: Rodger Saffold (from LAR), Adam Humphries (from TB), Kenny Vaccaro (re-signed), Cameron Wake (from MIA), Kevin Pamphile (re-signed)

Lost: Luke Stocker (ATL)

Notable Unsigned Players: Derrick Morgan, John Cyprien, Will Compton, Michael Campanaro

Comments: The big splash yesterday for the Titans was the trade for Ryan Tannehill (from MIA). Tennessee got Tennehill and will also get a 2019 sixth-round pick in the deal, with Miami receiving a 2019 seventh-round pick and a fourth-round selection in 2020. The money side of it looks great for the Titans: “The reworked deal guarantees him $7 million in 2019 and could top $12 million with incentives, NFL Media said. ESPN reported Miami will pay $5 million of that guarantee.”…so the Titans got a starting QB to back up Mariota…and may only have to pay him $2 million for the season…and really only gave up a 4th rounder in 2020….good job Titans.

Plenty of time for big moves by all of these teams…or at least those with some money still under the cap…these numbers are always changing with the new signings and player cuts…so check it regularly. As of this morning:

  • Baltimore ($22,845,800)
  • Washington ($7,508,330)
  • Tennessee ($25,654,099)

Stay tuned for future updates.
