The 2019 NFL free agency moves have been crazy…so I thought I would take a moment and look at the teams my readers follow (Baltimore Ravens, Washington Redskins and the Tennessee Titans). Here are the free agency moves for each team as of March 13 at 10:00am:
Baltimore Ravens: (see full list)
Resigned or Added: None
Lost: C.J. Mosley (NYJ), Za’Darius Smith (GB), John Brown (BUF), Eric Weddle (LAR), Terrell Suggs (ARI).
Notable Unsigned Players: Michael Crabtree, Robert Griffin III, Ty Montgomery
Comments: The Ravens very much look like they will be in rebuilding mode for the 2019 season based on all of the key players they have lost in free agency. I am wondering why they have not made ANY moves yet…the new GM needs some big moves this offseason to build this team into a contender.
Washington Redskins: (see full list)
Resigned or Added: Landon Collins (from NYG)
Lost: Preston Smith (GB), Jamison Crowder (NYJ), Ty Nsekhe (BUF)
Notable Unsigned Players: Adrian Peterson, HaHa Clinton-Dix, Josh Johnson, Michael Floyd
Comments: It is hard to tell what the Redskins upcoming season will look like just yet. Case Keenum is expected to be the new starter…so a new era for the Redskins. The question is will Keenum play like he did in Minnesota or the way he did in Denver?
Tennessee Titans: (see full list)
Resigned or Added: Rodger Saffold (from LAR), Adam Humphries (from TB), Kenny Vaccaro (resigned), Cameron Wake (from MIA), Kevin Pamphile (resigned)
Notable Unsigned Players: Derrick Morgan, John Cyprien, Will Compton, Michael Campanaro
Comments: The Titans have added a few nice additions to the roster and resigned a couple of players they did not want to lost this offseason. Michael Campanaro (better known around our household as “River Hill“) is not signed yet…I am hoping the Titans give him another shot as a punt / kick returner this season. The roster for the Titans should make them competitive in 2019…as long as they play the style of football they did at the end of the 2018 season.
Plenty of time for big moves by all of these teams…or at least those with some money still under the cap.
Stay tuned for future updates.
