Week 4 is over for the Alliance of American Football (AFF) League…here is a quick breakdown of each game:

Saturday March 2nd:

Memphis Express 26 – San Diego Fleet 23

Express picks up win number one on the season (now 1 and 3) and stops a 2 game winning streak by the Fleet (now 2 and 2). You can read a more detailed breakdown here.

Game Highlight:

Orlando Apollos 20 – Salt Lake Stallions 11

Apollos proved that a team from Florida does have the ability to play in the snow with a win in Salt Lake. Gilbert (ORL) threw for 244 yards and 1 TD to lead the Apollos to their fourth consecutive win (now 4 and 0) on the season. The Stallion drop to 1 and 3 on the season.

Sunday March 3rd:

San Antonio Commanders 12 – Birmingham Iron 11

The Iron take their first loss of the season to the Commanders in Birmingham. This was a crazy close game with a final score of 12 to 11. Trent Richardson put up TD number 7 on the season but was held to 15 yards on 7 carries for the game. The MVP of this game might have been Kenneth Farrow, II (SA – RB) who had 142 yards rushing on 30 carries. He was the workhorse on the evening.

Game highlight:

Atlanta Legends 14 – Arizona Hotshots 11

Arron Murray (ATL – QB) replaced an injured Matt Simms after the first drive of the game and went on to lead the Legends to their first win of the season (now 1 and 3). The Hotshots fall to 2 and 2 on the season.
