I thought it would be fun to take a look at the finance reports for our elected officials for State Delegate in District 12 …it was something I did throughout the last election cycle and thought I would continue reporting this information going forward.

Prior to the reports released on January 16th (what I am reporting on here) the last report was the 11/20/2018 Post-General Gubernatorial report.

Here is the summary information for the elected officials:

  • Hill has the most money in the bank.
  • Feldmark raised the most money (although much of it was a loan to the campaign).
  • Feldmark spent the most money on the latest report.

Here are some interesting items on the reports by candidates (things I look for are significant contribution amounts, PAC money, campaign transfers, significant outstanding loans & unpaid bill balances and other items that might catch my eye on a report).

Eric Ebersole (D12):

  • No individual contributions over $1,000.00
  • Picked up some PAC money:
    • 01/04/2019 Supporters of Maryland Brewing PAC – $125.00
    • 01/03/2019 Thoroughbred Horsemen’s PAC – $1,000.00
  • Gave some money to other campaigns:
    • Cain, Alice Friends of – $100.00
  • Has outstanding loans in the amount of $5,000.00

All in all a light report. Picked up a little PAC money and sent a few dollars to another campaign but nothing shocking on this report.

Jessica Feldmark (D12):

  • No individual contributions over $1,000.00
  • Picked up money from other campaigns:
    • 01/08/2019 Ball, Calvin Team, The – $2,000.00
    • 01/02/2019 Kaiser, (Anne) For Delegate – $500.00
    • 01/01/2019 Luedtke, Eric Friends Of – $100.00
    • 01/03/2019 Washington, Alonzo Friends for – $100.00
  • Had to return some campaign funds to contributors for exceeded contribution limits:
    • I.M.A., Inc. dba Merriweather Post Pavilion – $470.00
    • Mark, Noah (from California) – $1,620.00
  • Has outstanding loans in the amount of $5,000.00
  • Has outstanding bills in the amount of $410.25

Nothing shocking on this report. Looks like the campaign was playing catch up on some outstanding bills (and has a little more to go). The campaign in is the black because of the loan and money from other campaigns. Returning more than 2K could not have been fun for the team.

Terri Hill (D12):

  • No individual contributions over $1,000.00
  • Picked up some PAC money:
    • Baltimore Washington Construction & Public Employee Laborers PAC – $500.00
    • Zeneca, Inc. PAC – $200.00
  • Has outstanding loans in the amount of $1,000.00

A really light report. Has a little bit of PAC money listed…but otherwise nothing else notable.

If you want to dig through these or other campaign finance reports, visit:   https://campaignfinancemd.us/Public/ViewFiledReports?theme=vista and search each elected official to get their reports.

I will be breaking down an additional report (delegates in district 13) in the near future….and maybe others…you just never know who I might look at next.

Stay tuned.
