In a great local event happening this weekend…The Howard County Veterans Parade will be held on Sunday. Here is more information about it:

The Parade will be held on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at 9:30 a.m.

The Howard County Veterans Foundation, Inc. in partnership with the Columbia Association is busy planning the 4th Annual Howard County Veterans Day Parade to honor all branches of the US Military, the National Guard, First Responders, and their families. The parade will step off at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, November 11, 2018 from Merriweather Post Pavilion, travel along Little Patuxent Parkway and end at the future site of the Howard County Veterans Monument at Lake Kittamaqundi. This year’s parade will feature marching bands, military units and lots of hometown heroes.

Veterans Day Parade Schedule

8 a.m. – Check In

9:30 a.m. – Parade will step off and proceed down LPP.

10:45 a.m. (Approximate time) – A ceremony to honor veterans will take place at Lake Kittamaqundi with Howard County Executive Allan Kittleman, Columbia Association President/CEO Milton W. Matthews, and other dignitaries.
