Day 7 was Halloween…and voting turnout was a bit lower…with only 5,529 votes cast on day 7 in Howard County. Here is your daily breakdown of the numbers (with some history):

Today is the final day…so hopefully we get that cool day 8 bounce that has been seen in the past.

Overall in the state we remain one of the best counties in terms of voter turnout %:

  1. Talbot (27.98%)
  2. Queen Anne’s (21.34%)
  3. Kent (19.44%)
  4. Howard (18.29%)
  5. Harford (16.72%)

My favorite stat…we still have more total votes cast than Baltimore City…Howard County: 39,304 | Baltimore City: 38,795. Can we hold on to that advantage after day 8? Find out tomorrow morning.

Keep up the good work Howard County. If you have not voted yet…go out and vote by the end of today to avoid the long lines on election day.
