Looking for something to do around Howard County today? Here might just be the thing for you. I am taking this text from the Facebook page of Councilman Jon Weinstein:

Today’s an exciting day in historic Ellicott City!

This morning at 11, The ClayGround Studio & Gallery will be presenting a generous donation of $10,000 to the Ellicott City Partnership to assist businesses, property owners, and residents of Ellicott City who were impacted by the May 27 flood. Shortly after the flood, the ClayGround began a campaign where customers who paid full price for pottery, fused glass or mosaic classes offered there were able to designate half of that amount for the campaign reached $5,000, the Koplow family, who own the ClayGround, matched that amount to reach the full $10,000. I am truly humbled by their selfless, kind, and generous effort to support their community.

The celebrations will continue today at 11:15 with the Grand Re-Reopening A Journey from Junk at Linwood Boutique. A Journey from Junk has partnered with the Linwood Boutique team to create an AWESOME new space. I’m thrilled to see both back and working together on this cool new concept.

The celebrations continue today with Clipper’s Canine Cafe‘s Howl-O-Ween event from 12-4. Get in the Halloween spirit with your favorite four legged friend! There will be doggie trick or treating from 12-3 on the street and a doggie costume contest at 3:15!

BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE! Harvest Hootenanny will take place in the The Wine Bin lot from 1-8! This family friendly mini music fest will feature local bands. There will also be pumpkin painting, face painting, and wine, beer and spirits for the adults. Finish the night off with an after party at La Palapa Grill & Cantina featuring music by the Hall Williams Band.

Meet me on Main Street for lots of fun today. I hope to see you there.

Here is an image for the event:Now that is a full day of fun and activities in Ellicott City.
