Are You Concerned About Partisan Politics In The Howard County Board Of Education Race?

Note – photo edited to remove the kids from the image…I thought that was the right thing to do…even on a public post on social media.

I want to start this post with the following…if you did not see the comments on Facebook on the latest blog post…go read them…the back and forth between Pravin, Lena, Ainy, Bob and Danny are worth reading…and it will help with some context to this post. I have to admit that it was an interesting read…and telling on a lot of fronts…but more about that in a later post…

I have been struggling with how to write this post this morning…because I have been all in with Team Taj for HoCoBOE (she got my vote in the primary and will likely get a vote from me in the general)…and Christiana Rigby will be on the Howard County Council representing District 3 (which is the district I live in) and I am happy about that…but I TOTALLY get what Pravin is saying with his post.

There are a lot of things I could write in this post…but I think between the comments made on Facebook already and comments I expect from this post…I am going to keep this short and sweet…but I will ask you one question….are you concerned about partisan politics when it comes to the Howard County Board of Education and what that will mean for the school system going forward?
