Campaign finance reports are out (not all of them yet…but some)…and both Oldham and Gibson have filed…so I thought this would be a good opportunity to update my report back in January. Here are the numbers reported:
HC State’s Attorney | Starting Balance | Amount Raised | Amount Spent | Cash Balance |
Kim Oldham (R) | $18,845.26 | $7,423.00 | $2,498.84 | $23,769.42 |
Rich Gibson (D) | $22,638.04 | $10,600.00 | $4,864.24 | $28,373.80 |
Comments:
Gibson raised the most cash…but also spent the most on the latest filing.
Gibson holds a slight advantage with cash on hand at the moment.
The Howard County Police Officers Association (HCPOA) donated $1,000 to Oldham…I thought that was noteworthy for this post. To my knowledge, they have not endorsed either candidate to this point (if I find out otherwise, I will update this post).
Neither candidate has a primary opponent.

More details coming soon…report filing deadline is the 22nd…so look for more posts on this topic around the 23rd or 24th of May.
