David Trone and Roger Manno enter the field for Maryland’s Congressional District 6 race in 2018. Here is information via Frederick News-Post:
Two Montgomery County Democrats entered the race for the 6th District congressional seat that’s open in 2018 with Rep. John Delaney’s decision not to seek re-election.
Wine magnate David Trone and State Sen. Roger Manno both announced their candidacies through social media and website launches.
The announcement brings the field of Democrats with intention to seek the office to five.
Delaney announced last week that he’s not seeking re-election in 2018 and will instead run for president.
The three other Democrats running include Aruna Miller, Bill Frick and Andrew Duck.
The one Republican in the race at this point is Mathew Mossburg…but lots of rumors about other candidates are floating around.
Stay tuned…I expect more announcements in the coming months about additional candidates.
