Long Reach High School continues it impressive 2016 season with a 3rd consecutive win. The team was on fire last night and at one point in the 3rd quarter held a 31 to 7 lead after a 61 yard TD run by KD Booker. The final score (as you can see in the photo above) was 37 to 20. Only Long Reach and Howard remain undefeated in Howard County High School football in 2016 as of today.

The Seniors on this team have been through some tough seasons and it is great to see the team get off to such a fast start in 2016. This is a breakdown of football wins over the previous 3 years (2013 – 1 win, 2014 – 1 win and 2015 – 2 wins).
The Howard County football power rankings, first edition (via Howard County Times) ranked Long Reach 4th in the county on September 15th. View the rankings HERE. We might see the Lightning jump up a spot or two this week.
Long Reach will take on a very talented Oakland Mills (2-1) team (power ranking #3) in week 4. This will be a home game for Long Reach and I am guessing their will be a nice crowd in support of the Lightning. I might even have to make it out to this one!
