The Baltimore Sun has a new online poll asking “Who should be the Howard County softball 2016 Fan’s Choice Player of the Year?” http://www.baltimoresun.com/news/maryland/howard/sports/ph-hs-howard-county-softball-fans-choice-poy-20160527-htmlstory.html

This should be interesting to see how it plays out. Which school or booster club has the best online outreach with followers / fans? That may be the deciding factor.

I might be a bit biased (ok, totally biased). I say go vote for the Long Reach High School player (Isa Carunungan). She is currently leading the voting right now. You can vote every hour in every device until 11 pm, Tuesday 5/31.

Isa Carunungan is very deserving of this Howard County Fan’s Choice Softball Player of the Year. She led Long Reach HS to its best record in a decade while setting career-highs in all offensive and pitching categories.

Isa Carunungan

So…vote early and vote often and let us help Isa get this win!!!

Update: 6/1/16

Long Reach claimed its 4th Howard County Fan’s Choice Player of the Year from the 2015-2016 season by overwhelmingly voting for Long Reach captain Isa Carunungan with a winning margin of 582 votes.

Isa joins fellow Lightning Phil Watters (Wresting), Rachel Kim (Girls Soccer) and Joshua Fawole (Boys Soccer) as HoCo Fan’s Choice POY this school year. Long Reach has won more Baltimore Sun polls than any other HoCo school! We have another live vote going on for baseball’s Josh Kulina.
