Notes:
- There was a drop off in the total number of votes on day three (Saturday).
- Democrats continue to out pace Republicans in early voting, both in number of votes and % of voters.
- Independent voter numbers did not drop off as much as Democrat and Republican…but turn out remains low among this group of voters.
- On the upside…voting in Howard County is higher (from a percentage outlook) than in most counties around the state. Here are some comparisons:
- Howard County (Democrats – 4.37% and Republicans – 2.61%)
- Statewide (Democrats – 3.04% and Republicans – 2.16%)
- Baltimore City (Democrats – 3.30% and Republicans – 1.23%)
- Montgomery County (Democrats – 3.29% and Republicans – 1.75%)
- Prince Georges County (Democrats – 2.52% and Republicans – 1.78%)
- The highly contested Board of Education race may be bringing a lot of voters out this time around in Howard County. So to those candidates…keep working hard…
