There were some minor changes in the MD05 race since my last evaluation (two new Democrats jump into this race). So we have a total of six candidates to watch (four Democrats and two Republicans). I have made a slight change to the page and now list all candidates and websites (at least those I can find). You can read the January Scorecard HERE.
The candidates: To see the full list of candidates click here
Steny Hoyer: http://www.hoyerforcongress.com/
Kristin Beck: http://www.beck4congress.us/index.html
Debbie F. Wilson: ???
Mark Arness: http://www.arnessforcongress.com/home.html
Sam Faddis: http://www.samfaddis.com/
The Scorecard: (Click the follower numbers below to view the social media page)
- I did not find much outreach (or even websites) for the two new candidates in the race. If I missed anything, please let me know and I will correct the scorecard.
- Facebook – Faddis added the most new followers over the past month. Beck lead the way on the Democrat side of the scorecard.
- Twitter – Faddis added the most new followers over the past month. Hoyer lead the way on the Democrat side of the scorecard.
- Overall – the outreach in this race is not as high as it should be among these candidates. Hopefully we will see more in the next two months.
As I am revamping all of the Maryland Technology Outreach Scorecards, I am not writing about engagement numbers in February. Worry not, engagement evaluations will return in March (Twitter) and April (Facebook).
Of course the reality of followers, likes, and subscribers does not mean a lot when it comes down to voting in the end, but it can show trends in a campaign cycle and makes a great resource for following all of the candidates.
