On July 12th I detailed the Facebook outreach for the candidates in the Maryland US Senate race (READ HERE). Chris Van Hollen held a significant advantage in followers and engagement on Facebook.

This is my first evaluation of the Twitter outreach for these candidates. Obviously I have no tracking data yet so use this post as reference to the accounts for now.

Chrys Kefalas holds a big follower advantage today. I have not done any analysis on the locations of those followers (or for any of the other candidates)…that detailed analysis will be coming in future posts.

All of the candidates are active and I look forward to watching the trends with these accounts into the future.

On a local note: Chrys Kefalas and Donna Edwards attended the HoCo Fair yesterday and walked in the parade. Chris Van Hollen had a few volunteers at the fair handing out signs and fans (have to admit I was a bit disappointed that he was a no show). I believe Chris Van Hollen was at #MACoCon in Ocean City this past week but if others could make it back in time…
