2014 Year in Review ScottE Software

2014 is coming to an end and I thought it would be a good idea to do a review of the blog site and the various social media channels for ScottE Software. As noted in the last blog post (Top 10 Blog Posts of 2014), the Technology Outreach Scorecards were the big draw from 2014. There was a nice write up about the blog in the Columbia Flyer / Baltimore Sun. I had the opportunity to meet a great many of the local candidates and elected officials this past election cycle. ScottE Software also acquired some new clients in 2014 and we are excited to have helped them grow their customer / community outreach in 2014 and beyond.

Blog Site (scottesoftware.wordpress.com)

The site launched in January 2014 and has now exceeded 18,000 views in 2014 and has 42 direct followers. This was way beyond my expectations when I created the site earlier this year. You can view the entire annual report here:  http://scottesoftware.wordpress.com/2014/annual-report/

Plans for 2015 – The blog site will continue to post articles about technology, local Howard County information and other (what I hope is) interesting articles for our readers. As far as political / technology posts – I will do occasional reviews of the local officials and their online outreach efforts, continuing to point out which elected officials are doing a good job and which ones need improvements. There are some other plans being kicked around for 2015 and I expect another fun year for ScottE Software.

This will be the final post of 2014. I hope you all have a wonderful (and safe) New Year’s Eve tomorrow night.

Scott E
