Here were the top 10 most read blog posts of 2014:
1. Howard County Council – District One Race – February Technology Scorecard
2. Howard County Democratic Central Committee – May Technology Scorecard
3. Representative in Congress – Congressional District 03 – March Technology Scorecard
4. Howard County Democratic Central Committee – March Technology Scorecard
5. Maryland State Delegate – District 9B – February Technology Scorecard
6. Social Media Mistakes By Political Candidates – Part 3 – Linking Facebook to Twitter
7. Candidate Profile – Maureen Evans Arthurs
8. Howard County Council – District One Race – March Technology Scorecard
9. Howard County Executive – September Technology Scorecard
10. Howard County Council Races – Technology Reference Card
It should be no surprise that 7 of the top 10 most read posts were Technology Outreach Scorecards. This is what this blog really became known for in 2014. I was happy to see at least one of the Technology Reference Cards made the top ten and well as the one candidate profile posted. I think next election cycle I will consider writing more candidate profiles. The post about not linking Facebook and Twitter was pretty popular this year (future candidates and current elected officials should read this ASAP).
I am planning a 2014 recap post before the end of the year. It will have stats from the blog site, social media stats and a look at the plans for the blog site in 2015 and beyond.
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and a great holiday season!
