What the college football final four should look like today

There were some great games yesterday and none of the big six in the hunt for the final fours positions in college football stumbled. So what does that mean for the announcement of the final four today? Time will tell but we will put out our final four this morning:

Screen Shot 2014-12-07 at 6.22.47 AM1. Alabama (11-1) – The SEC is regularly the best conference in college football and Alabama has showed that they are the team to beat from that conference.

Screen Shot 2014-12-07 at 6.23.09 AM2. Oregon (11 -1) – If you have watched Oregon this year you have to be impressed with their offense and their QB (Marcus Mariota) is my pick for the Heisman front runner.

Screen Shot 2014-12-07 at 6.24.05 AM3. Florida State (12-0) – Bottom line, they did not lose this year. Yeah they play in the ACC but if you win out (even as not impressive as they showed) you make the final four.

Screen Shot 2014-12-07 at 6.24.24 AM4. TCU (10-1) – Obviously this is going to be the pick that the selection committee is going to struggle with today. In my opinion if they thought TCU was #3 last week then TCU goes out this weekend and puts up 55 impressive points, I am not sure how you take them out of the top four. Yes I know they lost to Baylor, and Ohio State smacked down Wisconsin yesterday in the Big 10 championship but TCU is deserving of a top four slot this season.

Outside looking in:

Screen Shot 2014-12-07 at 6.27.32 AM5. Ohio State (11-1)

Screen Shot 2014-12-07 at 6.27.57 AM6. Baylor (10-1)

We will find out today at 12:30 p.m. what the selection committee decides to do…then we get a fun day of pro football. Go Ravens…we really need a big win today!

Update: Looks like the selection committee did not agree with my analysis and selected Ohio State in the number four slot.

No. 1 Alabama will play No. 4 Ohio State in the Sugar Bowl, and No. 2 Oregon will play No. 3 Florida State in the Rose Bowl. Both games will take place on January 1, and the winners will face off in the National Championship Game on January 12.
