Comments: Jon Weinstein added the most new Facebook and Twitter followers over the past month. This continues to be an ongoing trend in this race.

Kevin Schmidt remains the only candidate on Google+ and Instagram for outreach. Kevin continues to add new followers on Facebook and Twitter at a pretty consistent rate.

Now we all know that follower trends is only one part of technology outreach, follower engagement is as (if not more) important. Let’s take a look at engagement numbers on Facebook:

HCC D1 October Facebook Activity

Kevin Schmidt had the most follower engagement (likes, shares and comments) over the past week.

I am going to continue to call Jon Weinstein the overall technology outreach leader in this race. His follower advantages on Facebook and Twitter keeps him in the leader position today. Kevin Schmidt shows some strength on Facebook with follower engagement and his outreach on additional platforms (Instagram and Google+) continues to be nice positives for his team.

Of course the reality of followers, likes, and subscribers does not mean a lot when it comes down to voting in the end, but it is a fun exercise to do and makes a great resource for following all of these candidates.
