56 (+3)

Comments: Steve Schuh added the most new Facebook followers over the past month. Steve holds a commanding advantage on that platform. Steve also continues to have the most overall Twitter followers and is the only candidate on Google+ and Instagram for voter outreach.

George Johnson added the most new Twitter followers over the past month. This is the second consecutive month that he has added the most new followers on that platform.

Now we all know that follower trends is only one part of technology outreach, follower engagement is as (if not more) important. Let’s take a look at engagement numbers on Twitter and Facebook:

The key item to look at is “Popularity”. This shows the number of recent retweets and favorites. George Johnson holds a decent advantage with Twitter engagement. I still believe that Steve would have greater success if he discontinues connecting his Facebook and Twitter accounts.

Steve Schuh has been much more active and had a much better week with follower engagement on Facebook.

Overall I still have to give the edge to Steve Schuh in regards to technology outreach. One area of concern for the Schuh team is the advantage that George Johnson is having on Twitter with new followers and follower engagement. The George Johnson team should continue to build on their successes by providing more updates to potential voters.
