Maryland State Delegate – District 27C – September Technology Scorecard

Logo for Delegate 27CI have been looking for some new races to evaluate and thought that this one looked very interesting.

The candidates:

Sue Kullen –

Mark Fisher

Lets first look at the Primary results:

Now lets look at the Technology Outreach Scorecard:

The Scorecard: (Click the “Yes” or follower numbers below to view the social media page)

Sue Kullen (D)

Mark Fisher (R)

Comments: Mark Fisher currently has the most followers on Facebook and Twitter in this race. His campaign page also lists YouTube and his LinkedIn account. One big miss is with the Facebook link on the campaign website. The link points back to Mark’s personal Facebook page and not the campaign page. I hope this gets corrected soon.

Sue Kullen has a decent number of followers on Facebook and Twitter and is also using Instagram for outreach. I really like the use of Instagram for outreach. I hope to see more posts on that account soon (nothing since April).

As this is my first evaluation I don’t have any trends to report yet but know that I will provide an update to this scorecard in October with the follower trends in that evaluation.

Here is a look at the Facebook activity over the past week of the candidate pages in this race: (Mark Fisher had the best week on Facebook with follower engagement)

District 27C Facebook Activity September

I would have to give the technology outreach advantage to Mark Fisher at this point. His follower advantage on Facebook is a nice positive for this team. The follower trends that will be reported next month should be interesting and will provide additional information for the future evaluation.
