Maryland State Delegate – District 12 – August Technology Scorecard

Howard County Districts I am so happy we have moved beyond the Primary and into the General election cycle for this race. There were just way to many candidates to evaluate during the Primary. I spent some time at the Howard County Fair today and unfortunately I did not run into any of these candidates. They all must have been out door knocking in D12.

Now on to this evaluation…

The candidates:

Eric Ebersole –

Terri Hill –

Clarence K. Lam –

Gordon Bull –

Joseph D.”Joe” Hooe –

Rick Martel – No website found via Google searches

The Scorecard: (Click the “Yes” or follower numbers below to view the social media page)

Eric Ebersole

561 (+17)

80 (+19)

Terri Hill

748 (+70)

58 (+26)

Clarence K. Lam

557 (+13)

453 (+32)

Gordon Bull

343 (+40)

Joseph D. “Joe” Hooe

243 (+23)

66 (+6)

Rick Martel

161 (+2)

Comments: Terri Hill made significant gains with Facebook followers since the last evaluation. She also added the second most new Twitter followers.

Clarence Lam added the most new Twitter followers and holds a significant advantage on that platform. It is nice to see Clarence using YouTube and LinkedIn for outreach. I hope other candidates do the same in the near future.

Gordon Bull did a nice job adding the second most new Facebook followers and leads all Republican candidates on that platform.

Rick Martel is in desperate need of a website. He actually lists one on his Facebook page, but it does not work. So disappointing.

Here is a look at the Facebook activity over the past week of the candidate pages in this race: (Ebersole had the best week with follower engagement).

Without question Clarence Lam is the overall technology outreach leader and I would have to say all of the Democrats hold an advantage over the Republican candidates today. Gordon Bull showed some strength and I will be very interested in seeing if he can continue that in the months ahead.
