The last evaluation of this race was back in May so I thought I would start off the weekend with this update. I can not say enough how impressive both of these candidates are with online outreach. My hope is that more candidates learn from this race and expand their online outreach to potential voters.

Now on to the evaluation…

The candidates:

Courtney Watson – Democrat – http://www.courtneywatson.com/

Allan Kittleman – Republican – http://kittleman.com/

Comments: Allan has taken slight follower leads on Facebook and Twitter. This team has also recently added an Instagram account (although it is not listed on the campaign website yet – hope that gets correct soon).

Team Watson has continued to make nice gains on all of their social media accounts. The most impressive is how this team has grown their Instagram followers.

Both candidates have recently released commercials.  I am not really going to say much about the content of those ads but I will note that Allan has his available on his YouTube channel. Courtney does not have hers publicly available yet on her Vimeo channel. I really hope she changes that soon.

Both have spent time at the Howard County Fair this week. I believe both will be out there again today to walk in the final parade. Here are some photos they have posted recently from the fair:

Here is a look at the Facebook activity over the past week of the candidate pages in this race: (Kittleman has had the most impressive week on Facebook with follower engagement).
