The Scorecard: (Click the “Yes” or follower numbers below to view the social media page)

Ryan Fredrick

303 (+6)

53 (+9)

Daniel Medinger

189 (+4)

73 (+11)

11 (+0)

Gail Bates

220 (+2)

Here are my takeaways from the scorecard above:

Early voting happens in three more days so I am a little early with this evaluation.

Ryan Frederic holds a nice edge in overall Facebook followers. Another positive for the Frederic team is they had the most engagement on their Facebook page over the past week (see photo below).

Facebook Activity Senate District 9

Daniel Medinger has the edge in Twitter followers and holds the most overall outreach. I like what this team is doing overall in outreach strategy and it could payoff in the end.

Gail Bates has an decent following on Facebook but there are very few posts from that account. I hope that after the Primary the account gets more activity going forward.

I am still not at a point with the new numbers to pick an overall outreach leader. It really is a draw between Ryan Frederic and Daniel Medinger for the overall leader in this race. I very much look forward to seeing the results of the Primary on June 24th.

Early VotingEarly voting begins on June 12th. The candidates should make sure all Howard County followers have this information: Early Voting in Howard County
