Howard County Council Districts MapI know this scorecard is a little early but with early voting beginning on the 12th and the Primary Election on the 24th I expect many of the scorecards will be early this month. If you are interested in last months evaluation you can read it here:

Here are my takeaways from the scorecard above:

Lisa Markovitz added the most new Facebook followers (by a slim margin) since the last evaluation. She was closely followed by Wendy Royalty and Jon Weinstein for adding new Facebook followers.

Jon Weinstein, Wendy Royalty and Kevin Schmidt all added about the same number of new Twitter followers.

Wendy Royalty continues to have the most overall outreach and Jon Weinstein continues to hold the edge in overall followers on Facebook and Twitter. Considering all of the factors I will continue to call it a draw between these two candidates for the overall technology outreach leader.

Of course the reality of followers, likes, +1′s and subscribers does not mean a lot when it comes down to voting in the end, but it is a fun exercise to do and makes a great resource for following the candidates.

I wanted the candidates in this race to know that this has been one of my favorite races to evaluate. I have really enjoyed watching so many candidates reach out on so many technology platforms. This group of candidates is doing more outreach than many of the candidates running for State Senate or Delegate.

I will be publishing results of the Primary Election in late June or early July. I will make the necessary changes and restart this scorecard in early August. I want to wish all of the candidates good luck and hope you all keep up your technology outreach to potential voters for the remainder of the month.

Early VotingEarly voting begins on June 12th. The candidates should make sure their Howard County followers have this information: Early Voting in Howard County
