Howard County DistrictsThere are not many big changes since the March evaluation. I did find a new website for one of the candidates and one of the errors noted last month has been corrected.

Here are my takeaways from the scorecard above:

It is nice to see at least one of the “Team 13” candidates in this race using social media (Atterbeary). She added the most new followers this month on Facebook . She also corrected her Instagram account from private to public and has a nice following on that platform. More campaign photos would be great.

It was nice to see Nayab Siddiqui get a website up and running. More outreach would be helpful to this campaign.

Jimmy Williams remains the only Republican in the race doing much with social media. He continues to hold the largest following on Twitter in this race.

I live in district 13 and have seen the yard signs start going up around here. Although not “technology” related I thought it worth mentioning. The Siddiqui team are the masters of yard signs. If the BOE election from two years ago is any indication I expect a lot of signs from this team. I have also seen signs for “Team 13”, Eiland, and Yates. I have to admit I am not a fan of the “Team 13” signs. It is difficult to read all of the names as you drive by them on the road. I only know it is them because I track these things. The general public would have no clue what they say as they drive by.

Marshmallow Man One of the local bloggers (Marshmallow Man) has given his endorsements for this race. You should check it out here:

Of course the reality of followers, likes, and subscribers does not mean a lot when it comes down to voting in the end, but it is a fun exercise to do and makes a great resource for following all of these candidates.
