I completed the scorecard for Senate District 12 and 13 this morning so I thought I would take this opportunity to update District 9. There has not been any changes in the technology outreach offered by the candidates so I will focus on the changes in followers. You can read the March Scorecard here.
Now on to the evaluation…

Here are my takeaways from the scorecard above:
Ryan Frederic added the most new followers on Facebook and continues to hold the overall Facebook follower lead in this race. This team is still getting their Twitter strategy up and running but did begin adding some new followers.
Daniel Medinger did a pretty good job adding new Twitter followers. This team continues to have the most overall outreach on the various social media platforms. I really like the fact that they are using YouTube for outreach to potential voters.
Gail Bates for the second consecutive month added very few new followers on Facebook. This is not a great trend for the team. One of the factors for the lack of new followers is the lack of posts on the account.
No one candidate is dominating the social media space so I am going to continue to hold off picking a leader, except to say the Democrats in the race are doing more today.
Of course the reality of followers, likes, and subscribers does not mean a lot when it comes down to voting in the end, but it is a fun exercise to do and makes a great resource for following all of these candidates.
