Since the scorecard from March, a new candidate has been added to this race. There has also been one new form of technology outreach from a candidate.
Now on to the evaluation…

Dan Rupli – No website was found for this candidate via Google searches
David Brinkley (State Senator District 4) – http://www.dbrinkley.com/
Michael Hough (State Delegate District 3B) – http://houghforsenate.com/
The Scorecard: (Click the “Yes” or follower numbers below to view the social media page)
Here are my takeaways from the scorecard above:
David Brinkley had a nice spike of new followers on Facebook. This team corrected the issue with the Twitter link from last month and did on OK job adding new Twitter followers. I will be very interested to see if the new followers trend continues into the future.
Michael Hough got their website fully up and running. This team added the most new Twitter followers and continues to hold a significant advantage in overall followers on Facebook and Twitter. I like that this team is using YouTube for outreach with recent videos on the channel.
Dan Rupli is relatively new in this race but I am still a little surprised I was unable to uncover any outreach at all.
Red Maryland’s April 2014 poll asked Frederick voters if the GOP primary was today who would they vote for? Hough won but only by a very slight margin (See photo):
Of course the reality of followers, likes, and subscribers does not mean a lot when it comes down to voting in the end, but it is a fun exercise to do and makes a great resource for following all of these candidates.
